My name is Dr. Alessandra Wall and I am a licensed clinical psychologist.
What does that mean? It means that I have a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, a Bachelors of Arts in Developmental Psychology from Duke University, and am currently in good standing with the California Board of Psychology.
Like many therapists when I started out I worked with people who dealt with a wide variety of issues: from depression to anxiety, eating to bipolar disorders, personality disorders and much more.
Over the past several years, however, my skills and interests have led me to focus the scope of my practice on what I love and do best, which is helping people with anxiety and stress management issues restore balance and regain control.
I’m eclectic in my approach, but I want my patients to have the tools and skills to work through tough times one their own, so I used cognitive behavioral theory as the starting point of our therapy. This gives you a framework to understand how your thoughts impact your emotions, actions and outcomes.
There’s no such thing as a one size-fits all solution in therapy. Your treatment is individualized to you and your goals.
You deserve to feel in control of your life and your emotions…
